BY NOW, I HAD ALREADY UPLOADED AROUND 80 PHOTOGRAPHS ON THE FLICKER SITE AND CATEGORIZED THEM INTO 4 ALBUMS: JAPAN, CHINESE PEOPLE IN CHINESE EYES, MONOTONOUS, AND ARCHITECTURE. I GET REALLY INSPIRED BY A QUOTE IN THE BOOK THAT “ABSTRACTION TODAY IS NO LONGER THAT OF THE MAP, THE DOUBLE, THE MIRROR, OR THE CONCEPT. SIMULATION IS NO LONGER THAT OF A TERRITORY, A REFERENTIAL BEING, OR A SUBSTANCE. IT IS THE GENERATION BY MODELS OF A REAL WITHOUT ORIGIN OR REALITY: HYPERREAL.” THIS QUOTE GIVES ME AN IDEA THAT THINGS COULD JUMP OUT OF THE BOUNDARY THEY SHOULD HAVE. BASED ON THIS IDEA I REAFFIRM MY THOUGHT THAT USING THE PHOTOGRAPHS FROM A LOT OF PLACES IN THIS WORLD AND FINALLY PROVIDE THE FINAL PROJECT AS AN ABSTRACT WORLD TOUR. I BRING THE VIEWER TO THE PLACE I TOOK THE PHOTOGRAPH AND LET THEM SEE THOSE PLACES. I CONSIDER THIS PROCESS LIKE TAKING AN ABSTRACT JOURNEY. LATER ON, I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE A TRIP TO THE ART GALLERY MILWAUKEE TO SEE THE ART EXHIBITION GET SOME INSPIRATION, AND TAKE SOME PHOTOGRAPHS, AND ALSO, I SHOULD UPLOAD SOME PHOTOGRAPHS I TOOK IN VANCOUVER TO ENRICH THE VARIETY OF PLACES I COULD TAKE THE VIEWER “TRAVEL” TO. THOSE PICTURES ARE STILL IN PROGRESS OF EDITING.
